OrderDynamics Announces Annual Technology Roadmap for its On-Demand eCommerce Platform

MARCH 29, 2012 – TORONTO, ON – OrderDynamics™, Canada's leading on-demand commerce platform provider, announced today its annual platform technology roadmap including new enhancements to its Order Management System, Globalization features, and Multi-Channel Loyalty capabilities. These three components are the major areas of focus for OrderDynamics, and will position the platform technology provider to meet the growing demands of mid-sized to enterprise merchants.

Enhanced Order Management Capabilities for Complex Fulfillment
The new enhancements to the Order Management System will allow retailers to define payment processes and split billing for multi-item purchases with partial inventory available at the time of a sale allowing backordered and out-of-stock items to be billed only when available and shipped. Native support for line-item shipping and customizable workflows will also be made available. These enhancements support OrderDynamics’ vision of delivering solutions for increasingly complex fulfillment scenarios and ensure critical support for more intelligent third party ERP/Order Management Systems. Improved OMS support within OrderDynamics will allow retailers to better communicate with consumers about their orders, leading to happier shoppers and improved online experiences.

Increased Globalization Functionality
Additional Globalization Functionality will impact all aspects of the overall experience and help retailers create greater connections with online consumers in multi-language or International markets. Enhancing multi-language capabilities across merchandising areas of the eCommerce platform such as shipping rates, brands, manufacturers, categories, SEO, in-site search, and dynamic promotions will make for faster deployments of global sites, mobile sites, and microsites while supporting global payment and tax integrations. These enhancements will also allow retailers to deploy globalized email communications for transactional and marketing purposes.

Loyalty Integration Capabilities
Integrating Loyalty Capabilities into the OrderDynamics eCommerce platform will allow retailers to create new platform-managed loyalty programs or integrate existing in-store loyalty programs into shopping experiences. Integrating loyalty deep into the promotion and merchandising features within the platform, along with enabling custom workflows and business rules for accumulation and redemption strategies can be placed into external, multi-channel stored value databases. This will allow retailers to deliver powerful loyalty programs and total unification of in-store and online strategies for a more cohesive customer experience and ongoing sales.

"Retailers use our platform because they want to grow online sales and deliver the best possible online experience to their customers," said Michael Benadiba, CEO of OrderDynamics. "The product enhancements we are announcing today are helping retailers extend marketing programs and messaging from in-store to the web, while increasing transparency and communication with consumers. Transparency and consistency are the foundation of successful retail commerce websites," Mr. Benadiba concluded.

OrderDynamics performs 4-6 major feature releases per year to its eCommerce Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, which are automatically made available to all current Clients at no additional cost.

Walking on a Cloud Featured in Internet Retailer’s Recent Geo-Targeting Article

A recent issue of Internet Retailer's magazine included a spotlight on geo-targeting in eCommerce in their article The Power of Place.

Geo-targeting empowers online retailers to showcase promotions, merchandise and pricing to one city, country or province/state, while displaying different information in another thereby allowing them to capitalize on the traffic in ways that best suits them.

OrderDynamics™ Client Walking On A Cloud was one of the featured web retailers in the article with the following excerpt:
"Retailers can create geo-targeted offers that go beyond holidays and weather to target consumers with more general types of promotions."
- Mark Zuckier, President at WalkingOnACloud.com

WalkingOnACloud.com, a Toronto-based shoe e-retailer that also sells in the United States, uses I.P. location technology from OrderDynamics to craft both free shipping and in-store marketing offers says Mark Zuckier, the company's president.

"Site visitors from the west coast of Canada and the U.S. are likely to see marketing messages emphasizing coast-to-coast fast shipping options," Mr. Zuckier says. "Shoppers closer to the our retail locations in the province of Ontario tend to see content related to the retail stores,” he explains.

As a retailer with separate .com and .ca websites, Walking On A Cloud is able to geo-target each of the sites so that users are dynamically pointed to the appropriate site regardless of whether they type .com or .ca with the URL. Leveraging this technology, Walking On A Cloud is able to maximize traffic and sales by catering to seasonal and logistic needs of shoppers based on where they are.

IRWD 2012 - Recap of the Show!

The OrderDynamics Team would like to thank everyone who attended the 2012 Internet Retailer Design and Usability Conference (IRWD) this week in Orlando, Florida. IRWD 2012 was a bit bigger this year, but the event still created the same great venue for networking opportunities with partners, retailers, and analysts that it's known for. The three-day event heavily emphasized design and optimization tactics for retailers to drive increased sales and more engaging online experiences.

This year's Conference featured a really dynamic atmosphere. There was a great energy and buzz that flowed throughout the exhibition hall and into the presentation sessions in all three days of Conference. Everyone we spoke with carried an amazing sense of enthusiasm and passion. Nearly every retailer we spoke to has big plans for re-platforming or new integrations that will significantly enhance user experiences. 2012 will undoubtedly be a big year in the eCommerce industry. We really look forward to seeing some of these projects come to life!

The Keynote and featured Speakers were extremely strong in both content and delivery this year, as well. It's also worth noting the private website consultations were a big hit among Conference attendees.

Like most other eCommerce Conferences, we enjoyed learning about some fantastic new vendors and online marketing services from AddShoppers and UserTesting. AddShoppers offers retailers a free platform that incentivizes consumers to share "liked" products within various social networks in exchange for discounts, while UserTesting has created an on-demand service for retailers to watch videos of consumers navigating through their websites and check-outs - complete with audio and video records!

With two Conferences already completed this year, 2012 will prove to be OrderDynamics busiest year to date. We have some exciting event announcements coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned for those.

We will be reaching out to all interested parties over the next two weeks. You may also contact us directly: Michael Turcsanyi solutions@orderdynamics.com.

In the meantime, we invite you to visit our website at www.orderdynamics.com to learn more about our On-Demand eCommerce Platform.

Sincerely,

The OrderDynamics Team

OrderDynamics Announces Many New HIVE Integrations

It’s a very busy time at OrderDynamics, from future events to putting the final touches on upcoming Client launches. While this is exciting, it doesn’t get in the way of helping our Clients drive outstanding year-end sales results and outpacing industry figures.

One of the ways we’ve been able to help our Clients succeed is by adding a number of news marketing and payment solutions to our on-demand eCommerce platform. These integrations to our on-demand eCommerce platform help our Clients increase sales and inbound web traffic, in addition to driving even better online experiences for shoppers.

Within our platform’s Marketing Cloud, new Shopping Site integrations include Wishabi and Bing Shopping. We are proud to offer more than 10 Shopping Site integrations to our platform. In addition to Shopping Sites, our new integration with ChannelAdvisor’s comparison shopping solution is sure to help our Clients manage data feeds across multiple shopping engines.

Our platform’s Content Services continues to grow as well. With recent integrations of Agility CMS, an enterprise Content Management System, and Etilize, a supplier of product data for consumer electronics and office products, product information and descriptions have never been easier to manage and update.

And finally, as social media and online communities continue to play an important role in helping online retailers drive sales, pre-built integrations with ShopSocially, an outlet for consumers to share recent purchases with Facebook friends, and ProfitPoint, a gift and loyalty card programs payment gateway, will enable merchants to continue building customer loyalty throughout different marketing and promotion plans.

As part of the OrderDynamics eCommerce SaaS offering, integrations like ChannelAdvisor, Etilize, Agility CMS, and more are rolled into the HIVE Ecosystem (Highly Integrated Virtual Ecosystem). HIVE allows OrderDynamics' Clients to quickly adopt new third party integrations that are fully supported, saving them cost and time.

OrderDynamics Merchants Outpace eCommerce Holidays Sales by 57%

JANUARY 31, 2012 – TORONTO, ON – As the dust settles from the 2011 holiday season, e-retailers are slowly catching their collective breath from a very busy Q4. Various reports from the National Retail Federation and comScore - to name a few - indicate sales for the 2011 holiday period saw substantial growth over 2010, and boasted a noteworthy spike after a period of already higher than normal sales leading up to the holidays.

Many consider the Black Friday/Cyber Monday long weekend as the unofficial kick-off to holiday shopping, however reports from comScore suggest significant online shopping increases happening as early as the beginning of November. Retail sales grew 15% to $35 billion in 2011 over 2010 for online transactions occurring between November 1 and December 26 - a sign that online shoppers are increasingly open to an earlier start to the holiday shopping season.

Cyber Monday, however, remains the single largest online shopping day of the year with a 22% increase over its 2010 performance. Overall, OrderDynamics merchants saw a 93% boost in orders compared to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend of 2010, with the biggest increases for their Canadian merchants. Black Friday and Cyber Monday will undoubtedly also become a major online shopping period outside of the US.

OrderDynamics merchants generated a combined increase of 72% in 2011 sales over those of 2010 for the same November to Christmas period, leveraging the dynamic nature of the OrderDynamics On-Demand SaaS Platform. “The OrderDynamics platform and toolset makes it easy for retailers to capitalize on increased web traffic with its advanced online promotions engine, enhanced backend website control, and additional client services based on industry best practices,” said Michael Benadiba, CEO of OrderDynamics Corporation. “The platform is easily able to accommodate even extreme spikes in website traffic to minimize downtime and ensure the best possible online shopping experience.”

Mr. Benadiba attributes the growth in eCommerce not only to savvy online shoppers and general convenience, but also to the Dynamic Merchandising tools available to merchants using their On-Demand eCommerce technology. He added, “OrderDynamics makes it easy for online retailers to optimize their websites for ultimate usability and to deliver a superior online experience during peak seasons”.

Dx3 Canada Recap - Review of the Show!

2012 is off to a fantastic start, thanks in part to the first ever Dx3 Canada trade show held last week in Toronto. Dx3 is a Digital Marketing conference that touches on a broad array of marketing operations within the online world. With that said, the OrderDynamics team was pleasantly surprised by the level of interest and enthusiasm shown towards eCommerce at this event.

There is an undeniable shift happening in Canada with eCommerce and online sales. Marketing and technology professionals associated with retail sales continue to look to eCommerce as a way to bolster revenue and marketshare, and also as a way to enhance existing sales channels. We met a number of established online retailers interested in upgrading eCommerce platforms to drive better online experiences and increase sales. In addition, we met quite a few retailers looking to launch an eCommerce presence for the first time. It’s exciting to see the Canadian retail community buying in to eCommerce at the rate they have been over the last few years.

OrderDynamics at Dx3 Canada - Steve Berkowitz, Michael Turcsanyi, and Kevin Butler
One of several recurring themes at Dx3 last week was emerging technology, its ability to affect consumer experiences and how marketing relates to that. One thing that is clear, however, is that as technology continues to evolve, retailers (and solution providers for retailers) must continue to put the consumer experience in front of everything. Dx3 suggested both retailers and solution providers are very focused on consumer experience too.

Several notable things that stood out to us at this event were Doug Stephens (the Retail Prophet)’s outstanding keynote presentation, LinkedIn’s trade show booth and free professional photo offering, Ortery’s 360-degree product photography, and Agility CMS.

OrderDynamics Dx3 eCommerce Panel, January 26 2012
We also wanted to give special thanks to Max Payne (Henry’s), Mark Zuckier (Walking on a Cloud), Paige Malling (Well.ca), and Marc Appana (FitForCommerce) for helping put together such an engaging eCommerce panel presentation. The session, “How Canadian Retailers Can Get eCommerce Right The First Time”, will be available to view online in the coming weeks.

We will be reaching out to all interested parties over the next two weeks. You may also contact us directly: Michael Turcsanyi solutions@orderdynamics.com.
